MANNEQUIN OPEN ALPHA AVAILABLE NOW!

Fast Travel Games today launched the Open Alpha for its highly ambitious asymmetrical VR game, Mannequin on Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro. The Alpha is free to download via the game’s Discord channel as the game prepares for a wider launch on Quest and PC VR headsets later in 2024.

To mark the news, a team of top VR influencers including VR Oasis, Naysy, Beardo Benjo and GamertagVR took a first look at Mannequin in action.

Mannequin is an up to 2v3 asymmetrical VR multiplayer game. Two elite Agents ruthlessly hunt an opposing side of three shape-shifting aliens known as Mannequins. Aliens pose as frozen human statues and ambush unsuspecting Agents, dashing forward and freezing them in place with a single touch. Agents scan for Mannequins and take them down with an EMP gun, deciphering friend from foe.

Mannequin's Open Alpha represents a very early build of the game with a first look at just a few of the levels and features planned for the full game. At launch, the Alpha will include:

STRATEGIC CAT AND MOUSE GAMEPLAY:

Experience both sides of Mannequin’s intense gameplay, springing traps as aliens or going on the hunt as Agents.

TWO LEVELS

A chance to test out the first two maps the game has to offer. Study level layouts and NPC placements to pick the perfect ambush points. 

SOCIAL LOBBY

The Alpha will feature an early version of the Mannequin lobby in which players can talk and strategize on tactics ahead of matches. New features will be added to the lobby in the future.

As the Open Alpha progresses players can expect new features such as user lobbies and tweaks to performance, all designed with the help of community feedback.
